Christmas Worship Project
"Oh Worship The King" -we are accepting donations at the door to help provide Christmas for a local needy family

Host: Admit One Ministries
Type: Music/Arts - Performance
Network: Global
Date: Saturday, December 12, 2009
Time: 7:10pm - 8:30pm
Location: New Life Community Church
City/Town: Ridgeway, VA
Phone: 2762266051
Email: adam@admitoneministries.com

DescriptionThe Christmas Worship Project was an event put together by the members of Admit One to share God's message, through music, of the birth of Christ during the Advent Season. After seeing the Spirit move in 2008, the group felt it most appropriate to make this an annual event.

This year, Admit One has connected with a local family who has experienced a tremendous amount of tragedy and sickness in their home. They have two young boys and without God's intervention, this family will not have a Christmas. We have decided to make this family our priority and we will be taking donations at the door in order to provide a Christmas for this most deserving family!

Please come out and invite your friends to be a part of this!

Family Outting Saturday Oct. 10th

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I am planning a family outting at the new Thee Red Barn (in Boones Mill) on Saturday Oct. 10th anytime from 10am - 4pm. Since we are planning it as a group we get the group rate, but I need a count of how many people are coming. Children under 3 are free. Thee Red Barn has the following activities: movie about farm life, cow to milk, animals to watch, hay to climb on, tractor to climb on, corn maze, wheat bin (sandbox), straw maze, animal water race and hay ride. There are two prices: $5 for all the activities plus ice cream (from Homestead Creamery) in a cup or $8 which gives you all of that plus a pumpkin. They also have lunch that can be purchased or you can pack a lunch. Hotdogs are $1.50, chips $0.50, drinks $1.00.

If you would like to go please let me know how many will be coming and at what price ($5 or $8).

8/12/09 Free Family Fun Night @ Bassett Family Practice

National Health Center Week

FREE Family Fun Night!
Bassett Family Practice

Date: Wednesday, August 12th, 2009
Time: 6:00pm until 8:30pm

Location:
Bassett Family Practice
324 TB Stanley Highway
Bassett, Virginia (beside of Subway)

To celebrate National Health Center Week and to offer our community a taste of the services offered at Bassett Family Practice, the MHC Coalition for Health and Wellness will host a Family Fun Night, Wednesday, August 12th from 6:00pm until 8:30pm. At the celebration, there will be lots of activities for the entire family to enjoy; including fun stuff for kids (face painting, fire and rescue demos and bike safety), health screenings and recipe demonstrations. We will also have an “immunization station” where parents can find useful information regarding their child’s vaccines. With the beginning of the school year just around the corner, it is important that parents realize the steps they need to take to get their children prepared.

We encourage the entire community to take part in this FREE event and to see firsthand what the benefits are by having a community health center like BFP available to you.

Music Drama Camp

Subject: Music Drama Camp

Hi all,Our church is putting on a Summer Music Drama Camp for the first time. It is next week (10th-14th) at First Pres. As of today, not enough kids have signed up. It is for K-2nd grade, but Betsy Haskins, who is doing it, said that Grayson can do it and I'm certain your kids could, too. That week it is from from 9 - noon. THey would be doing Three Piggy Opera, set design, etc. There is a $10 fee for non-members and she is also seeking volunteers who want to help. If you are interested, please call Betsy ASAP - her number is 632-3119. Can also probably call the church. She was going to make the call on Monday, so call today if you can.

Pass this along to others that you think might be interested.

Thanks! LeAnna Blevins

Single mom needs some help

Hey Everyone,

Below is a message that was forwarded to me from the freecycle website. Please read it and pray about how God might want to use you to help this person.

Thanks, Tonya Bredamus

Diapers and help... Ridgeway

I am a single mother of a 13 yr old and an 8 yr old that are still at home , i also have my 2 grandchildren ages 2 years and 6 months. This may not be appropriate for freecycle but i have no where else to turn i recently got laid off and do draw unemployment, but that doesnt even come close to take care of my bills and diapers for the babys, one wears size 4 and one wears size 5. I also have no transportation to get to social services for help with food. If anyone has any diapers or formula their little one no longer needs i could really use them. Also any advise on wear i could go for help with rent and such.

Thank you for reading,
Rhonda

I have posted this for my Mom she has no internet acess. I live in Ohio and have no way to help her myself.
